What is Mint authority?

The key allowed to create new supply of an SPL token.

On Solana, every SPL token has an optional mint authority — a keypair permitted to mint (create) additional tokens at any time. While it exists, the holder can inflate supply without warning, diluting every other holder.

Projects typically disable (revoke) the mint authority after launch to make total supply fixed. 'Mint authority: disabled' on a token page means supply can no longer be increased through this mechanism; 'enabled' is a significant risk signal, which is why it carries the largest weight in our risk score.
